Should we stay at home for our weddings or go overseas for luxury?

In general it is a hard topic to really decipher.Everybody imagines what thier wedding is going to be like, and we all have different scenarios.Although not everyone will want to go abroad to get married, with the recession in flow as it is, you might save some money in doing so.

Lets have a look at some of the Pros ofweddings abroad.So if your wondering about heading to somewhere like the Caribbean it will be easy to find some good points.At the start of the list is the weather, you wont be let down by unpredictable weather. The sun will have his hat on and you can be sure of a warm wedding. Next on the list is that in some cases getting married even in the Caribbean is cheaper than getting married at home and with so many tour operators willing to help you do it, it also becomes easier. Because it is so expensive to have your wedding at home, many people are thinking about having thier wedding abroad to save money.

Obviously the best part about it is that you can start your honeymoon straight away, no extra flights because youre already in the perfect location to have a great time. Why get married at home when you can have aluxury holidayfor your wedding.

Now we cant just look at the good parts about this, unfortunately there are some Cons.The first main reason that this might not be a good idea is that some people wont be able to make it to your wedding, they will find it hard to get some time off work and some family members either wont be able to afford it, or they could find travelling hard.Another key point when looking for a wedding abroad, is to check to see if the location you are looking at has a residency policy. This means that you would have to live in the place you want to get married for a period of time; of course the flip side does also mean an extended holiday.

One more problem you might find is that the wedding you have abroad might not be recognised by the church at home, but if you dont mind having a civil ceremony followed by a blessing when you get back you can overcome this pretty easily.

So what is the best decision? Some people will like to get married in a church, but some will like to have thier wedding abroad on a sandy beach, in the end it depends on what you really want. What is it that you would like to do on your special day, aCaribbean holidayin the place of your dreams, or at the church where you know you will have all of your family and friends to be with you?
